Are you a dedicated professional with strong communication abilities, a background in infant nutrition, and a commitment to enhancing infant feeding practices within a neonatal intensive care environment?
We are looking for a Band 6 qualified neonatal nurse to spearhead infant feeding initiatives and provide education for both parents and healthcare staff in the NICU on a part-time basis.
The NICU serves as a key tertiary center within the Eastern Neonatal network, catering to infants requiring advanced neonatal interventions, including surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a clinical authority on infant feeding matters within neonatal services.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care that promotes infant feeding and supports staff development in the NICU.
- Provide guidance, education, and support to parents and staff, including specialized training for NICU personnel and students.
- Collaborate proactively with the NICU nursing team and multidisciplinary team to develop and implement the breastfeeding strategy.
- Contribute to the Baby Friendly accreditation process within the NICU.

- Registered nurse/midwife.
- Degree-level education or equivalent.
- Post-registration neonatal training relevant to the role.
- Teaching/Assessing qualification or equivalent experience.
Desirable
- Specialist qualification in infant feeding.
