Electrical Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical installations on a large-scale commercial construction project. As the Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of electricians and ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standard, adhering to project specifications, industry regulations, and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the electrical workforce on-site, ensuring all electrical installations are performed in line with project plans, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety standards, specifically ensuring adherence to site safety procedures, including the enforcement of SSSTS/SMSTS standards and promoting a safety-first culture.
- Coordinate and schedule daily activities for electricians and subcontractors, monitoring progress, and adjusting plans as necessary to keep the project on track.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical work completed, including daily reports, material usage, and any variations to the project scope.
- Proactively identify and resolve electrical issues, coordinating with engineers to ensure any design or installation challenges are addressed promptly.
- Liaise with the project manager and procurement teams to ensure materials and equipment are ordered and delivered on schedule, preventing any delays in workflow.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, electrical codes, and quality standards.
- Manage and ensure proper use of equipment and tools, including the operation of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (IPAF certification required).
- Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor on large-scale commercial projects, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, technical drawings, and relevant regulations.
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification (Site Supervisors' Safety Training Scheme or Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
- IPAF certification for the safe use of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs).
- Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, electrical codes, and industry best practices.
- Attention to detail and a focus on quality control in all electrical installations.
- A strong commitment to safety, ensuring all team members adhere to site protocols and regulatory standards.
