Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Drama Teacher to join our team at Wayman Group, a renowned independent school in Enfield. As a Drama Teacher, you will be responsible for igniting young minds, nurturing their passion for the dramatic arts, and empowering them to develop their creative talents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging drama lessons to students across various age groups, incorporating elements of improvisation, scriptwriting, and performance techniques.
  • Curate and direct school productions, guiding students in their performances and providing constructive feedback and support for individual development.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and developing strategies to improve student outcomes.
  • Organize drama clubs and extracurricular activities to engage students outside of the classroom, fostering creativity and collaboration.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and open communication.
  • Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in drama education, incorporating best practices into your teaching methods.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Drama Teacher or similar role, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
  • Strong knowledge of drama techniques, theatre history, and contemporary performance styles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Passionate about inspiring and motivating students, with a commitment to creating a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple responsibilities, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Experience in directing school productions is highly desirable.
