About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Excelcare Holdings. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, working closely with our Care Assistants and registered nurses to ensure outstanding care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Care Assistants to deliver high-quality care and support
  • Work closely with the Home Manager and ancillary teams to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Engage residents in meaningful activities and promote independence, choice, dignity, and respect
  • Develop and implement person-centred care plans and risk assessments to ensure successful care delivery

Requirements:

  • Two years' experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant with an NVQ 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care
  • Experience in a nursing or care home or as a home care worker
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC)
  • Desirable: knowledge and practice of working with people suffering from dementia and experience prompting/administering medication using an electronic e-MAR system
