Round Peg Solutions is in search of a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to spearhead a team of engineers. This pivotal role will report directly to the Technical Director and will be integral in shaping the future of our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be tasked with:
- Developing and implementing innovative manufacturing solutions that align with the company's strategic objectives.
- Enhancing both new and existing product lines to ensure efficient and profitable processes.
- Fostering collaboration within teams to solve complex problems using a Design for Manufacture approach.
- Conducting Design Reviews and applying Design of Experiments (DOE) techniques to refine production methodologies.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to achieve 100% Right First Time (RFT) delivery.
Core Duties:
The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Engaging in New Product Introduction (NPI) and Process Development.
- Executing effective 8D Problem Solving methodologies.
- Ensuring the accuracy and currency of MRP/ERP engineering systems.
- Creating comprehensive project plans, fixture designs, and process instructions.
- Designing and developing tooling and fixtures using CADCAM software, specifically Autodesk Inventor and Powermill.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A robust background in CNC operations, with familiarity in NC Programming being advantageous.
- Expertise in industrial engineering principles, including cycle time reduction and production optimization.
- Experience within the aerospace and defense sectors.
- A solid grasp of methodologies such as 8D, FMEA, and SPC.
- Proven experience in leading capital expenditure projects.
