We are seeking a skilled Labourer/Van Driver to join our team at Pertemps. As a Labourer/Van Driver, you will be responsible for safely loading, transporting, and unloading furniture from our vans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload furniture from our vans, ensuring timely deliveries and minimizing damage.
  • Heavy Lifting: Physically lift and move heavy furniture items, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Van Driving: Drive our vans to transport furniture to various locations, following traffic laws and regulations.
  • Time Management: Effectively manage your time to ensure efficient delivery schedules and meet customer expectations.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with colleagues and customers to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise.

Requirements:

  • Driving License: Hold a full UK B1 manual driving license, with at least 1 year of driving experience.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience as a commercial van driver or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Physical Fitness: Be physically fit and able to lift and move heavy furniture items.
  • Organizational Skills: Possess strong time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrate good communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and customers.
