As an essential member of our Healthcare Division, you play a crucial role in the success of phs Group. To our clients, you represent the company. Your outstanding customer service abilities will help maintain client satisfaction and loyalty.

As a seasoned Class 2 Service Driver within our Healthcare division, your duties will encompass the collection of health-related waste materials, including Pharmaceutical, Non-Hazardous, and Hazardous Waste, as well as clinical waste. This role currently includes providing support to national Covid testing sites; however, regardless of your daily route, you will be instrumental in ensuring our clients' facilities remain clean and sanitary.

A typical day for a Service Driver at phs Group includes:

Following designated routes while utilizing PDA devices to confirm collections and manage site access challenges. Familiarity with in-cab technology, satellite navigation devices, and smartphones will be beneficial. Operating Soft Compaction Vehicles specifically designed for our services, similar to refuse collection vehicles. Collecting and emptying Euro Bins containing offensive waste. Assisting Covid testing stations by collecting sealed waste. Completing hazardous Consignment notes and Transfer notes. Returning to your assigned depot daily to unload collected waste from the vehicle. The ideal candidate for a Service Driver position at phs Group will: Prioritize safety and legal compliance, with a strong safety record. Hold essential qualifications, including a Category C (LGV Class 2) license, a current Driver CPC card, and a valid Digital Tachograph Card. Have maintained a full driving license for a minimum of 12 months and possess the appropriate LGV Cat C License. Candidates should not have more than 6 penalty points and no IN or DD endorsements for less than five years. Be open-minded regarding the types of products transported in the vehicle. Due to the nature of the waste handled, technicians are encouraged to receive vaccinations against Hepatitis B, tetanus/polio, and Hepatitis A. Employee vaccinations are covered by phs Group.

A competitive salary of £35,549 (based on a 45-hour workweek, Monday to Friday PM Shift). No scheduled weekend work. 13 pay periods per year (every 4 weeks).
