Laundry Supervisor Job Description

Raffles London at The OWO is seeking a skilled Laundry Supervisor to join our Rooms Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing colleague uniforms to the highest standards, providing exceptional service to guests, and ensuring the smooth operation of the laundry department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day direction and allocation of tasks to ensure a balanced workload on the shift.
  • Actively engage with the team by holding daily meetings based on the Raffles standard and values.
  • Ensure that the linen room team adheres to the Raffles grooming standards.
  • Monitor the wellbeing of our team and highlight any concerns to the Assistant Executive/Head Executive Housekeeper.
  • Inspect and supervise the laundry/linen room/uniform staff and seamstress staff to achieve consistently high standards of cleanliness.
  • Supervise the uniform room, seamstress, and linen house team with the support of the Head Linen Porter.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the floor team through effective teamwork.
  • Monitor the Laundry team rota according to the forecast and manage laundry team's holiday rota.
  • Work with the Assistant Executive Housekeeper on delivering P&L performance.
Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently in English, both verbal and written.
  • Recent experience within a 5-star hotel or a similar role.
  • Market knowledge of competitors and event industry trends.
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering and offering the best service and experiences possible in any situation.
  • Proven track record of surprising and delighting guests to provide exceptional service.
  • Able to work within a team.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • To be detail-oriented.
