About the Role:
Zachary Daniels Recruitment is partnering with a leading business to recruit a Demand Planner. This is a key role that will provide opportunities for growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize demand and sales for premium homewares and furniture products.
- Oversee the Open-to-Buy (OTB) and seasonal buys, ensuring effective inventory management.
- Conduct regular reviews of Weekly Sales, Stock, and Intake (WSSI) to optimize stock levels and sales performance.
- Manage the production plan, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and timely delivery of products.
- Implement effective stock phasing strategies to maximize availability and minimize stockholding costs.
- Manage the Range Review process from start to finish, ensuring key dates within the CPA are met.
- Ensure warehousing and store forecasts are loaded into the ERP in a timely manner for new lines.
- Monthly review of MOQ Weeks report to identify lines with issues and work with Buying and DI to achieve MOQ reductions, action to drive sales or manage stock out of the business.
- Understand your category's online performance and look to support improvements in online availability and sales where possible, liaising with the online/eComm analyst as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role or merchandising is essential, as it provides a solid foundation.
- Proven track record in driving demand, optimizing sales, and managing gross margin.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to forecast demand accurately and identify trends.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and techniques.
- Experience in managing both physical store and online channels is highly desirable.
