Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our client, a leading global Manufacturing business, on a full-time and permanent basis. As a key member of the Finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, providing strategic support, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Finance Assistants to ensure efficient financial operations
  • Assist in cash flow reporting and forecasting to inform business decisions
  • Liaise with external partners, including bankers and credit providers, to ensure seamless financial transactions
  • Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis to maintain financial accuracy
  • Support the preparation of monthly Group management reporting packs to provide insights into business performance
  • Monitor and control overhead expenditure to optimize financial resources
  • Assist in the annual budget process to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Support annual audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Drive improvement in SAP governance and process compliance to enhance financial efficiency
  • Collate annual statutory accounts, working closely with senior management to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Monitor tax and regulatory compliance issues to minimize financial risk
  • Support implementation projects to upgrade and roll out group-wide programs

Requirements

  • Formal qualification in accounting (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or relevant experience in the Manufacturing industry
  • Excellent analytical skills, with experience in using tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or Qlik
  • Experience in managing a small team to drive financial performance
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure financial accuracy
  • Experience in using SAP is desirable
  • Strong understanding of the Industrial/Manufacturing industry and costing principles
  • Ability to drive due to the remote location
