What We Are Seeking:
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Senior Fire Safety Consultant to join our Fire Engineering Team. This position offers flexible working arrangements, allowing for a combination of office, site, and remote work. We also provide the option to adjust working hours to suit personal preferences.
As a Senior Fire Safety Consultant, you will engage in diverse projects, offering strategic fire safety recommendations across various sectors, including commercial, residential, infrastructure, and transportation. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects alongside a team of talented engineers.
Main Responsibilities:
- Formulating Fire Safety Strategies during the Design and Construction phases.
- Conducting technical engineering analyses using relevant guidelines and methodologies, including both prescriptive and performance-based approaches.
- Assisting the team in enhancing technical expertise.
- Performing site visits as necessary.
- Participating in internal and external meetings.
- Managing projects from initiation to completion.
- Maintaining daily communication with clients.
Qualifications for Success:
- A degree in Fire Engineering or a related field, along with membership in the Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE) or an equivalent body.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Part B of the Building Regulations, Fire Safety Order, and relevant fire design guidance documents such as BS9999, BS7479, BS9991, BB100, and HTM05.
- A solid background in fire safety engineering with an understanding of fire-engineered solutions.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to devise quick, innovative, and practical solutions.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor your approach to different audiences.
- Excellent consultancy and relationship management skills.
