Operations Shift Manager

Warburtons, the UK's No. 1 Bakery Brand, is seeking an experienced Operations Shift Manager to lead our manufacturing facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our bakery, with a focus on HSE, food safety, and cost management.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the manufacturing team to deliver the annual HSE plan and drive a culture of safety and compliance.
- Ensure that all internal and external food safety standards and requirements are met, and that effective systems are in place to guarantee product quality.
- Manage product complaints and implement corrective actions to minimize recurrence.
- Plan and execute trials to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to drive efficiency and productivity.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the manufacturing team to achieve agreed KPIs and personal targets.
- Manage underperformance and develop revenue and capital budgets to ensure budget targets are achieved.
- Knowledge and experience of management in an FMCG environment.
- HS&E / Food Safety systems and legislation knowledge, including HACCP, COSHH, and IOSH.
- Warburtons quality systems and ability to ensure team outputs meet required quality standards.
- IT & PC knowledge, including MS Office and SAP.
- Knowledge and experience of bread making process, plant, and technology.
- Knowledge of HR policies and the law in relation to employment of people.
- Lean Manufacturing Principles and ability to implement and manage lean processes.
- A slice of the annual profits (discretionary profit share).
