Overview

Introduction

The role involves the precise setup and operation/programming of the Semi-Automatic Bridgeport EZ Path Lathe, adhering to the TT Electronics Quality Management System to deliver optimal value to the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and program the Semi-Automatic Bridgeport EZ Path Lathe
  
  • Program, changeover, and configure machines in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
  
  • Strive to meet established production timelines and objectives;
  
  • Conduct quality assessments on personal output utilizing various imperial measuring tools and gauges;
  
  • Follow operational guidelines to ensure timely progression of parts through the manufacturing process (SOP); and
  
  • Undertake any additional tasks as assigned by the Machine Shop Manager.

Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure these responsibilities are fulfilled.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

Core Requirements

• Experience in an electro/mechanical manufacturing setting, particularly with Defence/Military and Civil Aerospace products;

• Proficient in interpreting a variety of technical drawings in both imperial and metric systems;

• Familiarity with various measuring instruments is essential (including Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, internal and external thread gauges, wire gauges, etc.);

• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written);

• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues in the workshop;

• Capable of proactive planning;

• Willingness to engage in specific training to support the outlined duties and responsibilities;

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;

• Self-motivated with a flexible approach to work; and

• Basic computer literacy.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Programming experience is not mandatory but may be beneficial.
