We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Decontamination Technician to join our team at the Endoscopy Unit at Bristol Royal Infirmary.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver correct handling, cleaning, decontamination, and maintenance of all equipment.
- Support the Decontamination Lead and work in a team with decontamination staff on a daily basis.
- Assess the departments' workload at regular intervals during the shift and organize the resources accordingly.
- Ensure that daily tests of the departments' machinery are undertaken as per procedure manual.
- Inspect the cleanliness and correctness of equipment/instrumentation together with checking the items for durability.
- Ensure all documentation is completed in a legible, correct, and timely manner.
- Resolve problems that occur within the decontamination areas and maintain contact with end users regarding production and turnaround times.
