About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at Athona Education Limited. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to children with special educational needs, helping them to develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • GCSE grade C/4 or above in maths and English, or a suitable childcare qualification.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
