Job Summary:

Hunter Selection is seeking a skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team in a leading packaging manufacturing company. As a Shift Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks on production machinery and equipment.
  • Work on a variety of high-speed production and packaging machinery, conveyors, automation and controls, plant machinery, and robotics.
  • Collaborate with a close-knit team to achieve maintenance goals and develop the engineering function.
  • Assist with project work, including new machine installs, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and implement new preventative maintenance programs and assist with the implementation of new asset care management systems.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a maintenance engineering position.
  • Time-served apprenticeship and hold both electrical and mechanical qualifications.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced production environment, preferably in FMCG, food, packaging, or automation.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, motors, drives, automation systems, and experience working in a strongly preventative maintenance environment.
