As a Depot Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the customer is at the heart of everything we do. You will proactively manage the team, have the independence of running your own depot, drive the business forward, and continue to deliver first-class customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of depot staff to ensure excellent customer service and efficient depot operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and improve depot performance.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Manage depot budgets and financial performance to achieve targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and report on depot performance, identifying areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a depot management role, preferably in the hire industry.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make decisions quickly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement solutions.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • PC literate and proficient in Microsoft Office.
