Join Our Team as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult Mental Health

We are seeking an exceptional Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Woking. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality psychiatric care to patients on our 11-bed female mental health acute service, Kahlo ward.

About the Role
  • Work collaboratively with our team to assess and treat patients with complex mental health needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team
  • Conduct mental state examinations and undertake appropriate investigations, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Participate in ward rounds and clinical audits to ensure the highest standards of care
  • Lead the implementation of risk assessment, risk management, and clinical governance
  • Supervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals and managers' hearings
  • Participate in the telephone on-call rota

Requirements
  • Fully GMC registered and MBBS (or equivalent) qualified
  • Registered on the specialist register (CCT/CESR), Section 12, and AC Status
  • Experienced and knowledgeable in adult psychiatry and mental health diagnosis
  • Knowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, as well as the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Capacity
  • A first-rate communicator with excellent assessment and treatment skills
  • Committed to continued professional development
  • Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • A member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) or equivalent

Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
