About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our Radiology team on a bank contract basis. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality ultrasound imaging and reporting for a varied caseload within the department, and on the ward as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality ultrasound imaging and reporting for a varied caseload within the department, and on the ward as required.
  • Work closely with the Radiology team to ensure seamless delivery of imaging services.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of technical knowledge and skills in ultrasound imaging and reporting.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance programs for ultrasound imaging.
  • Provide excellent communication and teamwork skills to ensure effective collaboration with colleagues and patients.

Requirements

  • BSc degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent to meet the registration requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Post-Graduate diploma / DMU in Medical Ultrasound.
  • Post-registration experience of general ultrasound imaging and reporting, including Gynae pelvis scanning.
  • Experience of managing an ultrasound quality assurance program will be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills, along with a good understanding of how to encourage and promote effective team work.
