Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Market 36 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Bishop's Stortford.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to lead the design transfer process, ensuring seamless integration of new equipment into production. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating sustaining engineering projects, managing design changes, and implementing efficiency and quality gains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Transfer into Production: Ensure accurate drawings, schematics, and Bill of Materials (BOM) are in place.
  • Design Implementation: Translate design into production build instructions, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Design Transfer Events: Plan and organize events executed by the mechanical/electrical/electronics/software design team.
  • Quality Procedures: Meet internal quality procedures and external standards.
  • Product and Process Validation: Ensure validation of products and processes.
  • Troubleshooting: Resolve process issues and liaise with Development to resolve design issues in production.
  • CAPA and Complaint Investigations: Resolve investigations with the Quality Department.
  • BOM and Technical Drawings: Manage BOM, technical drawings, and work instructions following changes or updates.
Requirements
  • MSc Degree in Engineering or Technical Field: Equivalent training and experience accepted.
  • Design Transfer Experience: At least 2 years of experience in design transfer to production.
  • LEAN Exposure: Familiarity with 2P, Kaizen, DFMAS.
  • Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills required.
  • Conflict Resolution: Ability to handle conflict through proactive action and direct communication.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Ability to make sound decisions based on data analysis.
