Nurse Position in Southampton

Job Overview:
As a Practice Nurse with MCG Healthcare, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing services as part of our multidisciplinary team. Your role will include:
- Managing chronic diseases and developing strategies to prevent their progression.
- Specializing in areas such as COPD or Diabetes management, and implementing evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.
- Implementing infection prevention and control measures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
- Performing various clinical procedures, including obtaining blood samples and conducting electrocardiograms (ECGs).
- Providing minor and complex wound management, including leg ulcer care, and promoting wound healing through evidence-based practices.
- Offering travel health advice and vaccinations to patients, and providing child immunizations and advice on childhood health.
- Providing family planning and women's health services, including cervical screening and promoting healthy reproductive choices.
- Promoting health and wellness through various clinics, such as well-woman and well-man clinics, and supporting the management team in reviewing clinical policies and procedures.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in a primary care environment, preferably as a practice nurse or community nurse.
- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
