Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Aspire People. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEND, promoting their academic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement tailored learning plans, ensuring students receive the necessary accommodations and modifications.
  • Assist with classroom management, maintaining a safe and organized learning space.
  • Support students with challenging behaviors, using positive reinforcement techniques and de-escalation strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive team approach.
Requirements
  • Experience working with students with SEND, particularly those with SEMH and Autism.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
