Purpose of the Role

As a Process Design Engineer, you will play a vital role in the Engineering Design Team, delivering innovative and high-quality design solutions for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

You will collaborate closely with Design Managers and Leads to ensure all designs meet the highest standards of technical compliance, procedural governance, and safety regulations.

Key Accountabilities
  • Technical Excellence: Deliver technically compliant and high-quality design outputs that meet client specifications and industry standards.
  • Innovation and Efficiency: Collaborate with project teams to develop designs that balance cost efficiency and operational effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure full compliance with governance procedures and health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide graduate and assistant engineers, supporting their professional development.
  • Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients and supply chain partners to develop optimal process solutions, providing technical calculations and documentation.
Competency Requirements
  • Client Engagement: Strong ability to liaise with clients and supply chain partners, developing and refining process solutions.
  • Technical Expertise: Expertise in performing process calculations, mass balances, hydraulic calculations, and developing technical documentation like Process Block Diagrams, PFDs, and P&IDs.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
