Hours: Monday to Thursday 2pm - 10pm / Friday 11am - 7pm + 1 in 4 Saturday 6am - 2pm (with day in lieu in the week)

Job Summary:

You will be responsible for receiving and dispatching goods, ensuring production has the necessary materials for daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in a cold store environment at -20 degrees Celsius.
  • Load and unload vehicles using ride-on pallet trucks.
  • Unload containers with loose cases.
  • Locate and retrieve pallets using a reach truck.
  • Handle cases when re-working stock or picking orders.
  • Check in receipted goods.
  • Complete picking and loading documents.
  • Unload and move pallets using a counterbalance.
  • De-top cases off pallets using a clamp attachment.
  • Achieve personal and team KPIs.
  • Maintain product quality.
  • Eliminate non-conformances and strive for a right-first-time approach.
  • Maintain accuracy.
  • Optimize efficiency while maintaining and improving standards.
  • Liaise with Engineering on preventative maintenance and breakdowns.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Adhere to working practices to ensure the cold store operates to the highest standards.
  • Comply with all policies, procedures, and risk assessments relevant to the role and responsibilities.
  • Implement effective corrective actions to address shortcomings.

Requirements:

  • Must have a reach truck license (in-house accepted).
  • Must have a counterbalance license (in-house accepted).
  • Must drive and have own transport due to location.
  • Ride-on truck experience is ideal.
  • Previous warehouse and cold store experience.
  • Have a can-do attitude, lead by example, and take a hands-on approach.
  • Be proactive in helping other departments find solutions to problems.
  • Maintain high-level communication with colleagues to ensure efficient team working.
