We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Fire Engineer to join our dynamic Fire Engineering team in our Newcastle office.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in fire engineering, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality fire safety designs and strategies. They will be responsible for leading a team of fire engineers, managing projects from concept to completion, and ensuring that all work is delivered to the highest standards.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for fire engineering, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will also have a strong understanding of relevant codes and standards, including the Building Regulations and the Fire Safety Order.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of fire engineers to deliver high-quality fire safety designs and strategies
  • Manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely and budget delivery
  • Develop and implement fire safety strategies for complex projects
  • Collaborate with colleagues from other disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions
  • Provide expert advice on fire safety matters to clients and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • BSc/BEng/MSc/MEng or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in fire engineering, with a strong background in fire safety design and strategy
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality fire safety designs and strategies
  • Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards, including the Building Regulations and the Fire Safety Order
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
