Job Opportunity: Chef/Cook

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef/Cook to join our team at Excelcare Holdings. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking nutritious meals for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare menus that cater to individual dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Source and purchase high-quality ingredients to ensure exceptional meal quality.
  • Work closely with our Home Manager to ensure that kitchen operations are efficient and cost-effective.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop meal plans that support the health and well-being of our residents.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure excellent service and quality.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives to ensure that our culinary services meet the highest standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in cooking for large numbers.
  • NVQ Level 2 in catering and hospitality or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a catering environment.
  • 12 months of experience in managing a kitchen.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
