About the Role

Balfour Beatty VINCI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Site Manager to join our Major Structures team in Birmingham.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a unique and challenging project, delivering Europe's largest major infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Health, Safety, and Environment: Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm and support the delivery of MSM's Sustainability activities.
  • Site Management: Carry out Safety & Environment Tours as required by the Project H & S Plan and contribute to Accident / Incident Investigations.
  • Improvement and Development: Appraise improvement options and drive action / instigate as appropriate, and keep up to date with changes in legislation and cascade information to the foreperson.
  • Leadership and Communication: Be familiar with, and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the Health & Safety and Environmental Policies, and ensure that their staff receive or have access to copies of the Environmental Policy.
  • Engineering Control: Ensure that sufficient resources are allocated to the Works Section and that each has an appropriate level of ability, and identify and arrange training as required.
  • Quality and Productivity: Implement systems and processes, and monitor the competency of his/her supervisory staff and administer training / coaching as appropriate.
  • Commercial: Involved in the procurement of subcontractors and advises on commercial aspects / preferred attendances, and ownership of budget for the directly employed labour and plant.
