About the Position

Key Responsibilities

Daily management of purchase order creation and goods receipt, including:

  • Generate recurring or contractual Purchase Orders and Goods Receipts – such as Rent, Rates, FLTs, FLT fuel, Leased vehicles, Cleaning services, and Hired equipment.
  • Create intercompany recharge Purchase Orders and Goods Receipts.
  • Issue Furnish Purchase Orders for manufacturing facilities.
  • Prepare Waste Disposal and Sludge Disposal Purchase Orders.
  • Assist the Supply Chain team with haulage and customs Purchase Orders and Goods Receipts.
  • Generate Energy and Utilities Purchase Orders and Goods Receipts.
  • Process Commission and Management Charge Purchase Orders and Goods Receipts.

Maintain purchasing-specific data within SAP, including:

  • Update Customer Price Lists and Supplier Pricing.
  • Adjust Standard Costs for Inventory Valuation based on recent purchasing trends.

Provide operational purchasing support, such as:

  • Train new operational team members on creating Purchase Orders, Goods Receipts, and standard purchasing reports in SAP.
  • Offer ongoing support and training to Operations colleagues facing challenges with Purchase Orders and Goods Receipts.

Ensure the integrity of the purchasing system, including:

  • Review overdue Purchase Orders and follow up on their status.
  • Close outdated Purchase Orders as necessary.
  • Act as a liaison between Accounts Payable and Operations to resolve purchasing inquiries.

Handle additional purchasing tasks, such as:

  • Organize Delivery documentation.
Essential Qualifications
  • Proficiency in SAP ByDesign or a similar ERP system is essential.
  • Prior experience in generating Purchase Orders and processing goods receipts is required.
  • A high degree of accuracy is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and capable of taking ownership of tasks.
  • Outstanding organizational skills – efficient planning and execution.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience in master data maintenance is advantageous.
