We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Yard Operative to join our team at Synergy Plus Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and efficient yard environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Duties:
- Ensure the yard is clean and safe, reporting any concerns to management.
- Perform regular maintenance and inspections of equipment.
- Assist in preparing equipment for jobs and selecting items according to load lists.
- Load and unload equipment from various vehicle types, securing loads using ratchet straps.
- Work closely with operations personnel to monitor stock levels and ensure stock is ready for dispatch.
- Ensure equipment labelling procedures are followed.
- Accurately report load lists, items not returned from the site, and stock shortages.
- Adhere to the Health & Safety at Work Act, reporting any accidents promptly.
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move equipment as needed.
- Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance and operation.
