About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Supervisor to join our team at Stockport Council. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for maintaining the school environment to a high standard, ensuring the safety and welfare of the site, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain general maintenance and repairs to ensure the school environment is safe and secure
  • Open and close the school each day, and assist with external letting agents as needed
  • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure the safety and welfare of the site
  • Recognize and prioritize jobs that require attention, and work from your own initiative to complete tasks
  • Undertake physical tasks such as heavy lifting, moving, and handling
  • Ensure the security of the school site and maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Enthusiasm for maintaining a high standard of school environment to support children's learning
  • Firm understanding of and compliance with safeguarding requirements
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Physical fitness to undertake physical tasks
  • DIY skills and ability to work from your own initiative
  • Willingness to participate in training and development
