Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Shop Manager to join our Retail Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our shop, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the shop's inventory, including ordering and receiving stock
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving issues
  • Lead and motivate a team of shop assistants to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service
  • Monitor and control shop expenses, ensuring efficient use of resources
  • Collaborate with the Retail Team to achieve business objectives and improve shop performance

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably in a charity or non-profit organization
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to lead and develop a team
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours
  • Basic knowledge of retail systems and procedures, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly
