About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) team at Ivetsey Bank Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with young people, their families, and other professionals to provide specialist occupational therapy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy services to a caseload of young people with severe or complex mental health conditions.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Engage with young people and their families to understand their goals and preferences.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on areas such as activities of daily living, sensory integration, and social skills development.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the service and carry out audits as required.
  • Be responsible for department training and contribute to the training and development of all staff.
  • Ensure risk management and safety procedures are in place for the OT department and adhered to.
Requirements
  • HCPC registration.
  • Full clean UK driving license.
  • Experience or placement within a CAMHS or acute mental health setting is desirable.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills.
  • Skilled in the facilitation of a range of group interventions.
