Job Summary:
The Class 1 Tramper Driver is a key role within the Gregory Group, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and deliver customer products on a curtain-sided trailer, utilizing load security techniques to ensure safe transportation.
- Deliver loads throughout the UK, including full and groupage loads, utilizing a handheld PDA to complete paperwork.
- Interact with customers face-to-face and over the phone, providing excellent customer service and managing expectations.
- Maintain regular communication with the transport team to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Hold a valid UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
- Be in possession of a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Experience in delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
- Be passionate about providing exceptional customer service and working to deadlines.
- Exhibit confidence, politeness, and a team player attitude.
- Have good geographical knowledge and be fit, flexible, and self-motivated.
