As a qualified Electrical Technician in the Field Service sector, you will be engaged at client locations, possessing a solid grasp of power generation operations. Your role will encompass both mechanical and electrical tasks, enabling you to perform effectively across various technologies. You will undertake diverse maintenance responsibilities at multiple customer sites throughout the UK and Ireland, with opportunities for international assignments. Working collaboratively in both large and small teams, you will exhibit motivation, self-awareness, and respect for your colleagues. A strong commitment to safety and a 'Right First Time' approach are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as an Electrical Technician for Field Service operations at designated client locations.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Generator Mechanical and Electrical tasks, demonstrating proficiency across various technologies.
- Apply specialized skills as an Electrical Technician while adhering to safety protocols and operational guidelines.
- Follow high-level directives from Supervisors and Site Managers.
- Take ownership of your work within established parameters, proactively identifying and reporting issues.
- Assist in the daily execution of tasks and address any site-related challenges.
- Complete inspection documentation as requested by your supervisor, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Adhere to safety regulations and be familiar with risk assessments and safe working practices.
- Demonstrate motivation and dedication to site objectives.
- Be aware of and comply with site processes and procedures.
- Participate in training to enhance your skills in relevant areas.
- Support the development of junior team members when necessary.
- Maintain an excellent attendance record and demonstrate flexibility in your work approach.
- Exhibit strong time management skills on-site, including during breaks.
- Contribute to company initiatives focused on safety and quality.
- Willingness to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally.
Qualifications
- Completion of an electrical or mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
- Experience in electrical fitting, particularly in power generation environments.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proven experience in repairing various types of generator stators and rotors.
- Familiarity with mechanical disassembly and reassembly during generator overhauls.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently to achieve objectives.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing site requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in computer skills is advantageous.
