Job Description

Job Title: Electronics Design Engineer

Company: Spectrum Control Inc.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join our team at Spectrum Control Inc. As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-reliability microelectronics products and circuits.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of new products and projects
  • Provide technical support for current and new products in manufacturing
  • Design and develop PCBA and thick film hybrid circuit designs for new customer-owned and customer-funded products
  • Generate full drawing packs and associated manufacturing documents
  • Update drawings and associated manufacturing document packs
  • Engage with customers and design partners to ensure designs meet requirements
  • Participate in cost-saving and continuous improvement activities
  • Improve or optimize aspects of design, function, or processing of existing key products
  • Support other departments as required with issues relating to existing designs or testing

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent qualification/experience
  • Strong electronics engineering background
  • Proven experience in electronics design and circuit layout
  • Practical understanding of microelectronics assembly
  • High-reliability microelectronics design and development experience
  • Software design and programming experience
  • Experience in aerospace or industries with similar requirements
  • Working knowledge of Pantheon, Eagle, AutoCad, Solidworks, Cam350, or GC Powerplace
  • Familiarity with PCBA techniques, thick film hybrid technologies, and electronic test methodologies
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems
