Job Title: Quantum Software Engineer

As a key member of the IA team at Quantum Motion, you will play a crucial role in developing the software necessary to control our quantum processing units (QPUs). This involves adapting open-source frameworks to create a transpiler that translates user input from an existing quantum instruction language into an instruction set compatible with our quantum hardware and emulation tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop robust software solutions from scratch and deliver projects on time.
  • Collaborate closely with the teams working on emulation tools and control electronics.
  • Define the requirements of a user-facing programming interface.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of delivering robust software solutions.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or C/C++.
  • Demonstrated understanding of software best practices, including unit and integration testing.
  • PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or a related field, or MSc in Computer Science, Physics, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Familiarity with at least one quantum instruction language.
  • Experience with testing and benchmarking of quantum systems.
