SEND and Specialist Clinical Service Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEND Specialist to join our team at the Ministry of Defence. As a SEND and Specialist Clinical Service Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting and improving the educational outcomes of children and young people in Service Families.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the SEND service, ensuring that it meets the needs of children and young people in Service Families.
- SEND Service Development: Develop and maintain the SEND service, including the provision of advice and guidance to schools, parents, and Command.
- Collaboration and Partnership: Work in partnership with other children's services providers in the military community to develop integrated working practices and improve the lived experience for Service Families.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality of the SEND service, ensuring that it meets the needs of children and young people and is delivered to a high standard.
- Reporting and Analysis: Provide high-quality reports and analysis on the SEND service, including advice and guidance to schools, parents, and Command.
- Experience: Substantial and successful experience as an SEND Manager at Trust or Local Authority level, with involvement of at least 5 or more schools.
- Leadership: Proven leadership skills, with the ability to bring together expertise and practical delivery focus.
- SEND Knowledge: Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of SEND and Education legislative requirements, statutory guidance, and processes.
- Communication: Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work independently within professional frameworks.
