About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a salary up to £55,000 per annum. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Ensuring all assigned duties and tasks are carried out in compliance with statutory legal requirements and company policies.
  2. Adhering to company policies and procedures, ensuring all necessary documentation for routine checks and calibrations are performed while maintaining the required standards.
  3. Assisting the Maintenance team to ensure the safe, standardized, and efficient maintenance of all plant and equipment as per planned routines and statutory requirements.
  4. Working with the Engineering Manager to plan shutdown work and intrusive safety-critical jobs with associated test bodies and departments.
  5. Ensuring all project plans, improvements, repairs, and shutdown works are performed to the appropriate standard, ensuring coordination of resources for the flawless execution of works to agreed timescales.
  6. Contributing to the development of capital asset requests, including design input, technical and process data, specification requirements, procurement, contractor quotations, formal contract agreements, delivery, commissioning, and assessing resource requirements.
  7. Reviewing, assessing, and planning capex projects for new plant and equipment coming to site, working closely with suppliers to supply appropriate information, timelines, and documentation.
  8. Creating clear and concise plans to execute and monitor progress of routine tasks, equipment repairs, and project work, keeping the site management team up to date.
  9. Encouraging good communications and reporting from engineering teams, providing timely feedback on tasks, any remaining faults, breakdowns, isolations in place, and any accidents, incidents, or near misses that have occurred.
  10. Requiring a degree in Mechanical Engineering and project management experience, including CDM regulations.
