Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload machines in accordance with our company code of practice, using appropriate equipment to ensure secure transportation.
  • Load Security: Maintain the security of the load when loading, transporting, and delivering machines, adhering to our strict safety protocols.
  • Customer Handover: Hand over machines to customers, providing a comprehensive familiarization with machine operation and ensuring a smooth handover process.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily checks on the vehicle and ancillary equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Legislative Compliance: Comply with all relevant legislation regarding vehicle safety, tachographs operation, and working time regulations.
  • Customer Support: Respond to customer queries and relay information to depot staff as required, providing exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Brand Ambassador: Represent Nationwide Platforms as an ambassador, upholding our high standards of customer care and professionalism.
  • Administrative Tasks: Accurately complete all relevant paperwork, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
About You
  • Qualifications: Hold a valid HGV Class 1 licence and a full CPC card.
  • Experience: Preferably experienced in driving a low loader vehicle delivering plant or recovering vehicles, although full training can be provided.
  • Customer Focus: Demonstrate a strong understanding of the importance of customer service, as you will be responsible for showcasing our equipment to customers.
  • Vehicle Safety: Possess a demonstrable understanding of HGV vehicle safety and upkeep, ensuring the highest standards of safety on the road.
