We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety & Emergency Response Manager to join our team at New Appointments Group. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and emergency response of our clients and staff.
Main Responsibilities:
- Technical Proficiency:
- Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation changes and best practices in emergency response and safety.
- Maintain expertise in operations management and strategic emergency management.
- Process Improvement:
- Develop, review, and improve operational delivery and governance procedures to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Ensure all core business support systems and applications are structured correctly to support operations.
- Establish clear operational procedures and store them within the quality management system (GEMS).
- Lead the team through change management processes.
- Operational Delivery and Reporting:
- Oversee the safety of the Emergency Responder team and coordinate client operations in emergency situations.
- Execute the operational delivery plan to meet internal and external KPIs, contractual obligations, and legal requirements.
- Monitor the Tunnel 24/7, 365 days a year.
- Ensure patrolling services are completed as per the Service Contract.
- Produce activity reports using the Client's DEPAN system.
- Attend client assessment meetings to measure reporting and traceability differences and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure equipment monitoring, inspection, and maintenance are performed.
- Implement risk prevention activities by the FLOR Team.
- Complete monthly and annual monitoring and reporting requirements.
- Manage 'surprise' exercises in the service tunnel and ensure safety for all technicians.
- Maintain service levels and operational procedures to ensure continued accreditation with associated bodies and standards.
- Plan, develop, and manage resources to provide all services.
Requirements:
- Must have a degree-level education with strategic vision to develop business.
- Must have lived in the UK for the past 3 years.
- Must have a clean driving license and be able to drive to site.
- French speaking or willingness to learn French terminologies/phrases.
- Experience working at senior level with a strong understanding of UK fire, medical, and security standards, regulations, and legislation.
- Strong commercial experience, managing service contracts, budgets, and P&Ls.
- Ability to manage multiple, complex work streams to emergency deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and ability to influence others at all levels.
- Ability to work independently, using initiative to maintain high standards.
- Strong IT skills, including Excel and reporting.
- Manage sensitive and confidential matters, ensuring high-level data protection and security.
