About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join our team in Widnes, Cheshire. As an Audit Senior, you will play a key role in managing a varied portfolio of audit assignments, supporting junior staff, and championing service excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of audit assignments from planning to completion, working closely with senior team members.
  • Ensure audit assignments are completed to the highest quality, working with senior management to ensure deadlines and budgets are being met.
  • Oversee junior auditors, including workflow management, reviewing work, and providing training.
  • Liaise directly with clients, building strong rapport and proactively handling queries.
  • Research and interpret changes to auditing, tax, and accounting legislations and practices.
  • Champion your own professional development, proactively learning from the experienced team.

The Successful Applicant
  • ACCA or ACA qualified or finalist, with recent experience within UK practice.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Sound IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • A self-motivated and reliable individual eager to progress.
  • A strong work ethic, time management, and organisational skills.
  • Enthusiasm to learn from an experienced team.
  • A proactive problem solver with a keen eye for detail.
