Role: Quality Engineer

Location: Any major hub within the United Kingdom

Key Responsibilities
  • Join our Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) team, focusing on quality assurance while gaining comprehensive insights into our operations, products, and services.
  • Take charge of our risk-based supplier evaluation program, conducting both in-person and remote assessments, and ensuring follow-up on findings to maintain high standards of products and services.
  • Participate in internal audits, concentrating on the safety and compliance of supplied products with our specifications and standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across various business areas and represent the global Linde organization in quality matters.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supplier assessment program and quality processes.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, guiding them to meet our requirements and improve their systems and processes.
  • Work closely with the Procurement team to develop and maintain a system for monitoring and communicating the performance of quality-critical suppliers.
Qualifications
  • A degree or qualification in a technical field such as chemical or mechanical engineering, or approximately 4 years of relevant experience in operational, engineering, or health & safety roles.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Understanding of business and health & safety risk exposures, along with the implications of non-conformities identified during audits.
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation and standards related to our products, services, and equipment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ISO requirements or possession of a lead auditor qualification is advantageous, along with a willingness to learn and develop in these areas.
  • Integrity and commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive workplace.
  • Proficient IT skills, with knowledge of quality management systems being a plus.
