Job Description:
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Asset and Property Services Manager to join our team at James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering projects with a value in excess of £5m, including devolved budgets and working on commercial stock.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading on the management and delivery of a capital/planned investment programme for the council's property portfolio, to meet the aims and objectives of the Asset Management Strategy
- Line managing a team of 2x Building Surveyors, 1x Asbestos Surveyor and 2x Repairs Technicians
- Developing, writing and consistently reviewing strategies, procedures and processes in relation to key service areas such as, major/planned works, aids and adaptations, damp and mould
- Managing the procurement for all aspects of a programme covering a number of service areas including, works, consultancy and legal services
- Monitoring and reporting on all aspects of a multi-discipline range of projects within a programme including budgets and performance
- Analysing complex performance information, identifying trends and implementing changes to address any areas of weakness
Requirements:
- Experience of procuring, managing and delivering projects, with a value in excess of £5m, including devolved budgets
- Contract dispute and resolution including various forms of contract
- Excellent programme/project management skills and commercial awareness
- Building legislation including Planning, Building regulations, CDM, Health & Safety Legislation and Party Wall Act
