Exciting Opportunity for a Vetting Researcher

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Vetting Researcher. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking analysis and evaluation of Force, National, and other bespoke Police databases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct low-level financial interviews with new applicants to gather information and make informed decisions.
  • Carry out vetting project work as directed by the Force Vetting Officer, including managing data and reciprocal vetting for other forces.
  • Renew employees, volunteers, and contractors, including higher-level vetting security appraisals.
  • Interrogate, research, and analyze intelligence/information using various information systems.
  • Maintain contact with other vetting agencies and organizations for intelligence gathering.
  • Accurately record and archive relevant information in accordance with organizational policy and legislative requirements.
Essential Criteria:
  1. Ability to gather, research, and analyze information to make informed decisions.
  2. High level of competency in using information technology systems, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  3. Self-motivation, innovation, and ability to work unsupervised with minimal supervision.
  4. Systematic, meticulous, and flexible approach to varied work.
  5. Clear understanding of the Data Protection Act and Vetting Code of Practice/APP.
