Job Profile for Quantity Surveyor

Bennett And Game Recruitment is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team of professionals on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' client-side or main contractor experience and be able to work across a range of projects from groundworks to internal fit-out across the commercial and residential sectors, with values ranging from £25k to £10M.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and using cost data derived from the plans and drawings
  • Working both client-side and assisting main and subcontractors
  • Producing estimates, budgets, and cost plans
  • Undertaking value engineering and comparative design studies
  • Preparing and interpreting turnover and cash flow projections
  • Providing cost control during pre-contract
  • Advising on different forms of contract and procurement routes

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' Quantity Surveying experience (Main contractor or client-side)
  • Experience managing junior staff is desirable
  • Strong ability to communicate with clients and subcontractors
  • Open to Assistant Quantity Surveyors looking for a step up
  • Experience working on both high-end houses and smaller scale self-build developments (1 - 50 units) preferable
