Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Culinary Trainee to join our kitchen team. As a Culinary Trainee, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking fresh food, including prepping, baking, and making a range of desserts from our menu.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook fresh food, ready for selling in the farm shop
  • Prep and bake food for our menu
  • Develop knife and board skills
  • Make a range of desserts from our menu
  • Ensure allergen awareness and health and safety standards are met
  • Participate in pizza making for 'Pizza night' the 2nd Friday of each month
  • Contribute to general cleaning and housekeeping of the kitchen
  • Plate up food and may serve and clear tables

Requirements

  • Be available to work one day on the weekend, on a rota basis
  • Have reliable transport or be able to use public transport
  • Be clean and hygienic, friendly and approachable, and willing to learn and passionate about being a chef
  • Be a team player and flexible within your learning abilities
