About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Engineer to join our team at Babcock International Group. As a Cost Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the full life cycle of projects, from concept design to project end.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project baseline budgets, including control account plans, responsibility assignment matrices, and WBS dictionaries.
  • Monitor, control, and validate project accruals and commitments, and control resource and financial forecast data.
  • Manage and control cost risk budgets and drawdowns, and input into the risk management process.
  • Manage and control financial change management on the project, and assure alignment with business and contractual requirements.
  • Provide internal and external financial performance and cost reports, including earned value and variation analysis.

Requirements

  • Extensive recent and relevant experience in a similar environment or business sector.
  • Extensive experience applying budgeting and cost control in a complex environment.
  • Awareness of various contracting methodologies, including resolution of claims and disputes.
  • Advanced knowledge of cost management techniques and earned value management.

Qualifications

  • HNC or bachelor's level qualification/degree in cost engineering, project management, quantity surveying, or a related field.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
