About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious and skilled Chef to join our team at Defence, where you will play a key role in delivering exceptional food experiences to our clients and customers. As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food that meets the highest standards of taste, presentation, and safety.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where no two days are the same. You will be part of a team that is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating memorable dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve high-quality food that meets the highest standards of taste, presentation, and safety
  • Oversee and implement menu changes to ensure consistency and quality
  • Identify opportunities to improve our food services and implement changes to enhance the customer experience
  • Listen and act on customer feedback to consistently improve our food services
  • Support the creation of new menus and creative food concepts to keep our offerings fresh and exciting
  • Represent Defence and maintain a positive brand image through exceptional customer service and food quality
  • Monitor inventories to ensure our kitchens are well-stocked and efficient
  • Oversee kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety
  • Comply with Food Handling, Hygiene, and Health and Safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
  • Be passionate about great-tasting food and exceptional customer service
  • Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
  • Have experience supervising a team and leading by example
  • Have experience in a similar Chef role, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service
  • Hold a Food Hygiene certificate and maintain a high level of food safety awareness
  • Have a flexible approach to working and be able to adapt to changing circumstances
