The Linen Porter plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the housekeeping department at Silverstone Circuits. Reporting to the Head of Housekeeping, this position is responsible for managing the supply, distribution, and collection of linens, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for guests.
Key Responsibilities- Linen Management: Maintain an organized linen storage area, keeping linens clean, organized, and easily accessible. Manage the distribution of linens to various departments, including guest rooms, dining areas, and other designated locations.
- Linen Collection: Collect used linens from various departments or areas, including guest rooms, housekeeping carts, and common spaces. Ensure all collected linens are stored for proper laundry processing.
- Laundry Coordination: Coordinate the transportation of soiled linens to the laundry facility and the delivery of clean linens back to the property. Monitor and maintain the condition of linens, reporting any damaged or worn items for replacement.
- Inventory Control: Keep track of linen inventory levels and assist in maintaining adequate stock levels. Report low inventory levels and assist in the ordering and receiving of new linens.
- Equipment Care: Maintain and clean linen carts, bins, and other equipment used in the linen management process. Report any equipment issues or malfunctions for prompt repair or replacement.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow proper safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Adhere to all company policies and regulations, including those related to linen handling and safety.
- Sustainability: Promote and implement sustainability initiatives as directed by Silverstone Circuits.

- Experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel or lifestyle brand is desirable but not required.
- A strong, positive guest service style.
- Organized and able to work within a team or independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- A good command of the English language is desirable. Additional languages are advantageous.
- Maintains impeccable personal grooming standards while radiating an aura of elegance and refinement.
- A full clean UK driving license is desirable.
