About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Placement Officer to join our Adults Placements Team, which plays a critical role in the Adults Social Services Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and commissioning placements and accommodation for adults and young people, working closely with social work teams and external care providers.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain relationships with care providers to secure high-quality placements
  2. Assess client needs and preferences to identify suitable accommodation options
  3. Manage the placement process, ensuring timely and effective outcomes
  4. Collaborate with social work teams to ensure seamless transitions and support
  5. Monitor and evaluate placement outcomes, making recommendations for improvement

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Understanding of safeguarding adults' protocols and procedures
  • Experience working with IT systems, including Mosaic
  • Ability to work independently and manage a demanding workload
  • Substantial experience in health and/or social care settings
